After almost 25 years, two Atlantic crossings, and thousands of miles of ocean cruising, it is time for someone else to become steward of this fine little ship. Fewer than two dozen of these Robert Harris designed cutters were built and they have earned a reputation of being one of the best of the small passagemakers. My estimate is that it would cost in excess of $250,000 to duplicate one today. She has served me well and is ready for new owners with dreams of distant shores.

Promise was offered for sale through a broker in 2010. There was considerable interest but no buyers at the $74500 asking price. The 2010-2012 period was a very depressed market. Even with the major repairs and expensive upgrades since then (see below), I am open to sell her for less now.
